PARKLIVE Recommends

Hypervolt 2.0

Available from £691

One of the best things about the Hypervolt 2.0 is there are no extras to buy. No add ons - just one box, loaded with all the features that we expect to see at the top end. And all built in.

Pound for pound this probably makes it the best overall value in the market right now. And with the new 'Space Grey' model about to launch on Parklive, it's chalenging the top of the style-league too.

But that's not the end of the story. Hypervolt is the only charger currently on the market that uses an onboard computer to manage the charger's features and more importantly, to create the capacity to improve existing features or add new ones via software updates.

This means you're getting a seriously future proofed piece of kit with all of the features and looks that make it a premium charger and a seriously shrewd choice.

Ohme Home Pro

Available from £654

Imagine if an energy provider paid you to charge your car. Ohme’s Intelligent charge management technology makes it the first charger on the market to turn this notion into a reality.

How? Well, simple really – if you're on a compatible energy tarrif, the Ohme is constantly communicating with your supplier to monitor and react to real time price changes. Tell your Ohme to have your car ready for work at 7am and it’ll dynamically pick the cheapest route to a full battery. Only charging at the cheapest rates available. That’s great, but better still and unique to Ohme - if it’s one of those windy days where the national grid is flush with green energy, you’ll even get paid to use up the surplus. Ohme will make sure you don’t miss out on any opportunity like this by automatically switching your charger on and powering up.

The Latest rendition, the Home Pro unit comes with type A RCD protection, automatic load management and earth fault protection all built in out of the box. So with no extras to pay for or install this makes it a highly compact and cost effective choice.

Easee One

Available from £665

The new Easee One includes in built earth fault protection especially for the UK market  - essential to any home installation for safety and to aviod the complexities of sinking earth rods.

This is a beautiful looking product, which not only comes in five colourways (Dart Vader, Storm Trooper, Imperial Guard... maybe), but is also a seriously smart piece of kit. There's a built in 4G data connection for a start. This is free for life too, so your charger will always stay smart and online, no matter where you locate it.

Where the Easee One really comes into it's own though, is where you may want to run more than one charger at your property. With Easee's charge Robot tech, you can install up to three of these chargers on a single circuit. The chargers communicate with eachother to manage the power distribution dynamically  between connected vehicles. You can control all of this through their free smart app.
